How did the idea come about?
If you have a stellar career at Nestlé, very little time to go to the hairdresser and still want nice, shiny hair (or your roots need regular recoloring), you could come up with the idea that Maria Luisa Fuchs had: an online Subscription. You get top hair color at home, as good as in a salon, but without the hassle (or shipping costs). The idea worked so well that she changed her job and became a full-time entrepreneur!
Beatrice: Who is your typical customer?
Maria Luisa: I am the best customer! (laughs). I've been coloring my hair since I was 2o. At first it was just to make my hair look better, then because I was getting gray hair. Now I have to color my hair regularly and don't have time to go to the hairdresser. In Switzerland there are 1.2 million women who color their hair. A third find the traditional solution of visiting a hair salon regularly. Another third buy paint from supermarkets or retailers. The third part, like me, is not so happy with supermarket quality and prefers a better product for use at home.
