After an initial career in the hotel and casino industry, Maria Luisa Fuchs' MBA studies in France inspired her to launch her first start-up venture. As a founding partner, she was part of an international consulting firm for four years with a focus on eBusiness and business development. After selling this consulting boutique, Fuchs worked for years in Switzerland for medium-sized and large companies in the marketing department. Following the call of the entrepreneur, she realized her dream two years ago and founded a new baby – Mia Lou, an e-tailing venture in the cosmetics sector.
Mia Lou is a unique hair coloring subscription concept that pampers women with beauty, time and relaxation exactly when they need it. The Mia Lou hair studio box contains all the necessary components for a simple and comfortable “do it yourself” at home – with a result like a professional.
Nowhere is responsibility so direct and so dynamic. As an entrepreneur, no one makes decisions for me, so I can't hide behind any processes or hierarchies. Everything comes right back to me – and that excites me. With the latest venture I also opened up a new amazing world.
Of course, I am currently very proud of my step into becoming self-employed with a concept that is extremely close to my heart. When I look back - a year ago I was still fine-tuning the concept and name, and today I can already count on a large and satisfied customer base - I feel happy and extremely privileged.
